Before fashion design had a name in my life, I was already turning everyday materials into possibilities. Blankets became fabric. Towels became texture. String and chains became details I could wear. Later, I taught myself to crochet. Eventually, I bought my first sewing machine and began turning the designs in my mind into real garments.
What started as curiosity has become a serious goal and a growing collection of proof.
Today, my ideas exist as sketches, fabric studies, reconstructed clothing and finished pieces. Some turn out as planned. Others fall apart, teach me something and come back stronger. Every project helps me develop the design, construction, patience and persistence I will need as a fashion student.
My goal is to study fashion design after high school, with the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York as my first-choice school. Getting there will take more than passion. I need to strengthen my portfolio, improve my construction skills and prepare for the cost of attending college away from home.
That preparation is already underway.
Your contribution can help fund the steps between my current work and college, including materials, design classes, application fees, portfolio reviews and other major education expenses. In other words, your support can help turn the next idea into the next garment and the next garment into a stronger portfolio.
Every contribution, large or small, becomes part of the process. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser can still help my work reach someone who can.
I am not asking you to invest in a dream that may begin someday. The work has already begun. You can see it in my early sketches, the mistakes that taught me important lessons and the finished garments that once existed only in my imagination.
If you contribute, you are not carrying this dream for me. You are helping me keep building it, one design, one lesson and one step at a time.
Thank you for reading my story and supporting my journey. Whether you contribute, share my fundraiser or follow my progress, your support means more to me than I can fully express.
